PORTFOLIO · 18TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY · 2026
Noomi & Christian
Eighteen years of marriage, and a cake about how they got there.
Before I started designing, I had a long conversation with Noomi and Christian, and we hardly talked about cake. We talked about them: their relationship, who they are on their own, what they value, and what has kept them together through eighteen years of marriage.
They also showed me the style they love: ceramics and glass from Bornholm, with soft, organic shapes and a handmade feel. Those pieces became the starting point for the form of the cake, and slowly the design began to take shape.

THE STONE
The stone-inspired forms stand for the foundation of their relationship: strong, grounded and lasting. I kept them uneven on purpose, because their relationship was never about fitting a mould or looking the way something is supposed to look.
THE WHITE FORM
The flowing white form in the centre stands for something just as important to them: freedom. The freedom to stay yourself within a relationship, and to give each other room to grow and change, while still being there for one another.

THE MARGUERITES
In Denmark, the 18th wedding anniversary is traditionally linked with marguerites, so they became the last small piece connecting the design to the day.
This is what personalisation means to me: getting to know the people I'm creating for, and turning a little piece of their story into something they can see, feel and eventually eat. A cake that couldn't really belong to anyone else.
"We trust you. We just want you to be you."
